The best article that I wrote in this semester I think it is the McCandless response essay. This paper was written before I started to read Into the Wild, and based on the information that my instructor gave me, I wrote my opinion about McCandless' s death. Although maybe there are some grammar mistakes in that essay, I express my own opinion and arguement clearly and my readers can understand what I want to say. However, the worst papaer that I wrote for this semester is the personal analysis essay. I did search the resources and infromation of the person that I wrote about, but I forgot to compare him and myself. Also, I think it is difficult for me to analyse a real person's personalities and characteristics. I should choose a person that shares similarities with myself and inspires others, as well.

Actually I hod the same opinion as the beginning after I read the whole book. I don't think that Chris's escape from his family is causes by his family absolutly. Chris didn't face the issues and he chose to escape, which is all of his family's fault. Every parent loves the kids and sometimes they don't know how to express their love. If I were the parents, I would also want to visit the bus because not only Chris cut communication for two years, but also he were my son. Walt and Billie have responsibility to know how Chris died and they would get leasons about teaching their kids from Chris's issue. Maybe they would be regretful about the way that they used to teach Chris and they would fix the mistakes. They haven't seen Chris for 2 years and after 2 years, the first news they got was Chris's death. We can imagine that how sad they were when they heart it and it is reasonable to visit the place that their son died for Walt and Billie.

My primary resourse is The Story of the Stone. This book represents the top of Chinese literature and there are still several groups of scholars studying on this book. My arguement is that this book changes Chinese writing style and it represents the real world potentially. The author, Cao Xueqin, describes 721 various people in this book and each of them represents different types of people in the society. Audience would wonder how Cao Xueqin describes these people vividly and their personalities. Until today, the debates of this book are still existing. I would just discuss its writing style and its realism.

My topic of the research paper is "The world under Cao Xueqing's writing". Actually it was written hundreds of years ago, but right now there are still so many scholars studying this novel. It is not only because this novel has potential meanings of life, but also this novel describes the whole society in that dynasty. Until now, almost no writer can write as Cao Xueqin did. The most important reason why I choose this book as my project is that most of the scholars believe that "The Story of The Stone" represents the top of the Chinese writing. It describes hundreds of people's personalities and the family's rise and fall, which potentially represents the rise and fall of the dynasty and its different kinds of people. Today, there are many directors who want to make a movie of this book, but they are afraid that probably they won't make it well because when people read "The Story of the Stone", everyone has different images about it. If the directors make movies, they would limit these images by the actors and actresses. Also, when people perceive a book as classic, they also compare it with "The Story of the Stone" automatically. Therefore I think it is valuable to make it as my project.

I think writing is a very simple thing. If the author writes an article, he or she wants his or her readers to think. Probably the authors' writing styles are dfiferent, but they are pushing people to think what they write about. Otherwise they won't write. Patrica states that the authors shouldn't write their own view directly and they should use evidence to make the audience to think step by step. If they state their statements directly, probably the audience would have no interest to keep reading the articles. I think a good writer can do that without using "I think". He or she can use different evidence, examples and analysis to persuade their audience to stand on his or her side. When people write novels, we can see that the description of a person. From that description, we can see the comments of the author on this person. If he or she is positive, the author would describe the positive side of this character. Otherwise he or she won't do this. I am trying to stop using the word "I" because I believe that it would make my article more objective without "I".

I think it is obvious to see the the similarities between Chris's heroes and Chris himself. They all had desires to be into the wild and they all believed that they could survive in the wild. However, the biggest difference is that Chris died. Before Chris did this, he trusted himself that he could survive, which is sort of over-confident. None of them expected themselves would die, so did Chris. However, he died. These people who entered into the wild all meddled death. Chris choose a different way to finish his own trip. He cut the conncetion with his family even his favourate sister. I admit that these people also suffered difficult enverionment, but they survieved. Probably their destinies were totally different. Chris's destiny was death.

The author uses many people comparing to McCandless. Although Ruess and McCandless both had desire to be in the wild, their causes were different. From the memories of McCandless parents and sister, Chris had shown different characters since he was really young. He admired his grandfather and he was really interested in being in the wild. He flouted his teacher's rules about writing articles. These phenomena showed that he was a different guy. If there had no issues between him and his family, I believe that he still would have been going to the wild. These issues happened between him and his family was only a excause for Chris to run away from his home. Probably he did exggerate these issues, but I guess he would still do that.
